Mahjong Black and White
One rule inverted: pair the same symbol in opposite colours, black with white, inside a twenty-minute level.

Mahjong Black and White inverts the rule everyone brings to a tile board. Here a pair is not two identical tiles: it is the same symbol in opposite colours, black matched with white. Every instinct trained on ordinary layouts works against you for the first minute, and the tiles that look most obviously matched are exactly the ones you cannot take.
Once the rule settles, it changes how you scan. Instead of hunting a shape and stopping at the first duplicate, you hunt a shape and then check the colour is wrong — the extra step is small, but at speed it is where the mistakes come from. It also doubles the number of near-misses on a crowded board, since each symbol now appears in two flavours that must never be paired with themselves. The same heading covers Ultimate Connect 4 as well.
A twenty-minute limit runs over each level, generous enough to absorb some early confusion and tight enough to punish a stall in the middle. Hints and shuffles are both available, and both affect your score, so the cheap way through a hard board is also the low-scoring one.
This is a 2024 build, and the high-contrast black and white tile design is the reason full screen is worth using: the colour difference is obvious at size and surprisingly easy to misread in a small frame. Desktop and mobile both run it.

How to Play
- Look for two tiles carrying the same symbol.
- Check they are in opposite colours — one black, one white — because identical tiles will not pair.
- Select both to clear them from the board.
- Clear every tile before the twenty-minute limit runs out.
- Use a hint or a shuffle if you stall, keeping in mind that both reduce your score.
Tips & Tricks
- Check colour last — in Mahjong Black and White the symbol narrows the field and the colour decides whether the pair is legal.
- Distrust the obvious match — two tiles that look identical are the one combination the rules forbid.
- Twenty minutes is the whole level — early confusion is affordable, a stall in the middle is not.
- Clear the top layers — covered tiles are out of play whichever colour they are.
- Play in full screen — the contrast reads instantly at size and is easy to misjudge in a small window.
Frequently Asked Questions
What counts as a pair in Mahjong Black and White?
Two tiles with the same symbol in opposite colours. A black tile pairs with its white counterpart, never with another black one.
How long is a level in Mahjong Black and White?
Twenty minutes, applied strictly to each level rather than to the session as a whole.
Do hints reduce the score in Mahjong Black and White?
They do, as does the shuffle, so the easy route through a board also costs you the result.
Is Mahjong Black and White available in full screen?
Yes, and it is the better way to play, since the colour contrast is what you are judging on every match.
When was Mahjong Black and White released?
It is a 2024 build, and it runs on mobile as well as desktop.

The coolest game for attentiveness and dexterity, what could be better!
Too many of these games will not allow “FULL SCREEN” play. Can this be adjusted? Seniors love these games but they need the full screen experience, basically unable to play on small screens. Thank you for your consideration for these fans.
