Onet Connect Classic belongs to the linking half of the genre rather than the stacking half. The pieces lie flat in a grid, and a pair disappears when a clear path can be traced between them, so the puzzle is about routes rather than layers. The tile sets rotate through animals, sweets and plain coloured shapes, which is why the grid reads as a children’s board and plays as a speed test. A timer runs on every stage. The game is built around clearing fastest, so a shared screen turns it into a contest between two people at the same grid, and a solo run into a race against your own best time. Hints and a shuffle are on hand when the grid runs dry of legal links. Animal Connection keeps the pace of this one.

Because the artwork is large and flat, full screen here is less about legibility than about reach: on a wide monitor the far corners of the grid stop being a mouse journey. The behaviour is the same on a desktop and on a touchscreen, where no dragging is needed — two taps make the link. Butterfly Connect sets out another one-layer board on the same rule.

How to Play

Find two tiles carrying the same animal, sweet or shape anywhere in the grid.
Tap or click both, and if a clear path can be drawn between them they vanish.
Keep clearing until the grid is empty, before the stage timer reaches zero.
Take a hint when nothing obvious remains, and shuffle when the grid genuinely has no legal link left.

Tips & Tricks

Work the outer ring — pieces on the border have the shortest routes and free interior lanes as they go.
Clear duplicates in fours — with two pairs of the same sweet on the grid, taking the awkward pair first leaves an easy one in reserve.
Watch the middle — a dense block in the centre of the grid is what usually kills the clock.
Shuffle late, not early — the reshuffle is most valuable when few pieces remain and the routes have closed.
Full screen widens the grid — with the board stretched, long horizontal links are easier to see before you commit to a click.
