Seasonal Mahjong Games
Studios rebuild the same layouts four or five times a year with new artwork, and this shelf is where those editions live: pumpkins and cobwebs in October, eggs and rabbits in spring, hearts in February, beaches and ice cream through the summer.
Treating them as one section is deliberate. A Halloween board and an Easter board from the same studio are usually the same engine with a different tile set, so if one of them suited you, its siblings will too — which is far more useful to know than which month it happens to be.
Artwork does change the difficulty a little. Autumn sets tend toward orange and brown at similar tone, which slows recognition; spring sets are the opposite, with pastel tiles that separate cleanly and play noticeably faster. Neither is better, but it is worth knowing which one you are opening when you have five minutes rather than twenty.
Christmas has its own shelf because it produces more boards than every other holiday combined. Everything else in the calendar collects here, and none of it is hidden once the date has passed.
