Transport Mahjong

Toy-car and vehicle tiles stacked in layers, cleared pair by pair against a board timer with hints and shuffles held in reserve.

Transport Mahjong swaps the bamboo and character suits for vehicles — toy cars, and the rest of the traffic drawn in the same bright, blocky style — and keeps the matching rule intact: two tiles showing the identical vehicle lift off together, and the board is finished when none are left.

The tiles are stacked rather than laid flat, which is why the standing advice for this board is to strip the top layers before anything else. Every tile taken from above frees the ones underneath, and a run that ignores the upper stack tends to end with a pile of unreachable cars. Another layout to unstack is the FGP board.

A timer runs behind all of it. Each board has to be emptied before the clock expires, so the vehicles you can already pair are worth more than the ones you are still hunting for. Hints and shuffles are there when the layout stalls, and they are best saved for the boards that genuinely dry up. The Dimensions block is filed under the same heading here.

How to Play

Look over the stack and find two tiles carrying the same vehicle.
Take them from the exposed upper layers first — buried cars cannot be selected until the tiles above them are gone.
Click one, then the other, and the pair is removed.
Clear every vehicle before the board timer runs out.
Call a hint or a shuffle if the remaining traffic has no visible pair.

Tips & Tricks

Peel the top layers — each vehicle taken from above opens two or three more underneath.
Match what you see — the timer punishes long searches more than it punishes an unambitious pair.
Keep the hints for late boards — the opening layout usually gives up a pair to a second look.
Shuffle a dead stack, not a slow one — reshuffling while pairs are still visible costs you the reading you have done.
Use full screen — the toy-car artwork repeats shapes, and a bigger stage makes the differences obvious.
