Sheep Sheep

Three of a kind, not two: Sheep Sheep works on triples. Tiles carrying sheep and farm pictures are stacked in overlapping layers, and every tile you pick drops into a row of holding slots along the bottom. Three matching sheep in that row cancel each other and free the space again. The Chain grid was filed here for the same reason.

The slot row is the whole difficulty. Fill it with tiles that never find partners and the level is over, so the HolaStudio build from 2022 is really about not committing to a picture until its two partners are reachable. Each level layers its own obstacles and traps over the pile, and props and hints exist to prise those open — the joker swaps or removes a tile when the row is nearly full. The Animal board belongs to the same easy-going list.

The board is drawn tall, 360 by 640, for a phone screen, and it takes a left click as happily as a tap. On a desktop monitor that portrait strip sits small in the middle, so full screen is the sensible way to play it: sheep faces differ by ear shape and colour more than by outline. One more board of that sort is Candy Mahjong.

1. Look over the stacked farm tiles and find a sheep picture that appears at least three times on open faces.
2. Click a tile to send it down into the holding row.
3. Collect the third copy of that picture and the trio clears, freeing the slots again.
4. Spend a prop or a hint when an obstacle or a trap has buried the partner you need.
5. Empty the sheep pile before the holding row jams to finish the level.

• Match in threes, count in threes — a Sheep Sheep picture with only two visible copies is a trap for the slot row.
• Leave room to breathe — keep a couple of slots spare so a new layer cannot lock you out.
• Save the joker — it swaps or removes a tile, which is worth far more once the row is crowded.
• Dig where the obstacles sit — clearing a trapped stack early stops it blocking the endgame.
• Use full screen on a desktop — the 360 by 640 farm board is a narrow strip otherwise.
