Stars are the currency in Mahjong Sweet Connection. Levels hand them out as you clear the candy grid, and the score itself is driven by how quickly you empty the board, so a slow clear finishes the level and still leaves something on the table. The linking rule is the familiar one for a flat connect board: two identical sweets clear when the line between them bends no more than twice.
