Spider Solitaire 1

This one is not a tile board at all. Spider Solitaire 1 is Arkadium’s take on the card game that runs across multiple decks, where the goal is to build descending runs of a single suit inside the tableau and then ship each completed run away. Another layout to unstack is The Key.

The multiple-deck structure is what separates spider from the patience most players know. There are far more cards than columns, so you are constantly stacking mixed suits on top of one another to buy a move, and every one of those temporary piles is a debt to be unwound later. An empty column is the single most valuable thing on the table, worth more than any individual sequence, because it is the only place a long mixed pile can be taken apart. A second stacked layout here is the Classic board.

Arkadium runs it without a clock. A personal ranking tracks how you do across games, but nothing pushes the pace, which suits a game where the right move often becomes visible only after you have counted three of them ahead. The board expands to full screen, and it plays on desktop and on touch. The same free-tile rule governs Diamond Solitaire.

1. Build downward inside the tableau, placing each card on one a rank higher.
2. Keep a run in a single suit wherever you can, since only same-suit sequences can be completed and removed.
3. Move a finished run out of the tableau to clear the space it occupied.
4. Deal from the stockpile when no moves remain, which adds fresh cards across the tableau.
5. Clear every run to finish the deal.

• Empty a column early — a free column is the tool that unpicks the mixed piles you built to survive the opening.
• Prefer same-suit moves — a mixed stack looks like progress and is usually a trap.
• Count before dealing — the stockpile buries whatever is exposed, so exhaust the tableau moves first.
• Work one suit at a time — chasing two runs at once tends to leave both unfinished.
• Nothing is timing you — look at every column before committing, because thinking costs nothing here.
