Mahjong Restaurant

Mahjong Restaurant dresses the layered board in kitchen ware — plates, pans, cakes and cups sit on the tiles instead of bamboo and characters. SNSHUB built it as a pair-matching solitaire: two identical dishes vanish when both are open, and the pieces they were covering drop into play. A board is done when the last pair of plates leaves the table. The Deluxe Plus pile keeps the layered board and changes the shape.

A tile counts as open when nothing rests on top of it. No clock is attached to Mahjong Restaurant, so the pressure comes from the stack itself rather than a countdown; the later kitchens pile on more layers and free edges get scarce. Hint and shuffle buttons sit within reach when the plates stop pairing up. The same free-tile rule governs Daily Mahjong.

The build is HTML5 at 800 by 600 and answers a mouse click or a tap, so the same kitchen boards work on a phone as on a desktop. The full screen control is worth pressing here: the food icons differ by small details — two cakes, two mugs — and a bigger canvas makes those details readable. The Jungle Deluxe pile piles the tiles into a different silhouette.

How to Play

  1. Scan the restaurant board for two identical dishes that have nothing stacked on top of them.
  2. Click the first plate, then its twin; the pair leaves the table and uncovers whatever sat beneath.
  3. Work the upper layers down so the buried kitchen tiles come into play.
  4. Press hint when the board looks dead, or shuffle to redeal the remaining dishes.
  5. Clear every pair to finish the kitchen and move to the next layout.

Tips & Tricks

  • Uncover, do not just clear — a pair that frees two buried plates beats a pair on the edge that frees nothing.
  • Read the topping first — Mahjong Restaurant repeats shapes, so check the garnish on a cake before you commit.
  • Keep the shuffle in reserve — with no timer on the restaurant board you can study the stack before spending it.
  • Play in full screen — the plate art is small at 800 by 600 and enlarges cleanly.
  • Count the duplicates — four of a dish means two safe pairs; two means one careless click can strand them.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the tiles in Mahjong Restaurant?

Food and kitchen items — plates, cakes, drinks and pans — printed on the standard layered tiles.

Does Mahjong Restaurant have a full screen mode?

Yes. The full screen control stretches the 800 by 600 board across the monitor, which helps with the small food icons.

Is Mahjong Restaurant played against a clock?

No countdown is attached to the boards; the difficulty comes from deeper stacks instead.

Can Mahjong Restaurant be played on a phone?

It accepts taps as well as mouse clicks, so a touchscreen works.
