Easter Link

Easter Link plays the linking version of the board rather than the stacking one. Two identical blocks — spring animals, painted eggs, the usual holiday cast — come off together when a line can be drawn between them that bends no more than twice.

Lof Games put a clock on it, and the clock is what turns a readable field into a scramble. The board has to be empty before time runs out, which makes hesitation the expensive habit: a visible pair taken now is worth more than a neater one found after twenty seconds of scanning. Kris Mahjong Animals keeps the pace of this one.

There are a lot of levels and they thicken steadily. The advice that holds throughout is to clear the outer blocks first, because the ones at the rim have the free space a bending line needs, and taking them widens the corridors into the middle. The stage is 800 by 450 and takes both clicks and taps. Switching on full screen before the first field makes the line you are tracing visible in one glance instead of two. Another board that clears along a line is Sports Mahjong Connection.

1. Find two blocks carrying the same animal or holiday motif.
2. Check a line can join them with two bends at most.
3. Make sure no standing block sits on that route.
4. Select both to clear the pair.
5. Empty the field before the countdown finishes.

• Take the rim first — outer blocks have the space a bending line needs and open the way inward.
• Two bends is the limit — a route with a third corner will not resolve, however identical the blocks look.
• Do not stall — with a clock running, the pair you can already see is the right pair.
• Save the hints — early fields solve by eye, later ones do not.
• Play in full screen — the 800 by 450 stage is small for a field this busy.
