The board sits in space. Tiles float against a starfield, each one carrying a cartoon animal, and the job is to link identical pairs rather than dig them out of a stack. Gamesonline.co.id released this version in 2022, and the interface is deliberately bare: a grid, a timer, two buttons and nothing else competing for attention.

The connect rule is what you are actually playing. Two matching animals disappear when a line can be drawn between them made of no more than three segments, which is the same as saying no more than two right-angle turns, and that line may not pass through any tile still standing. It is why a pair on the rim is usually reachable while the same pair buried mid-grid is not. For a second flat pair-up, there is Mahjong Connect.

The timer supplies the pressure. Runs are scored, and a run ends when the clock does, so the gap between a modest total and a good one is recognition speed: cats, birds and other cartoon creatures repeat in similar palettes, and hesitating over which lion belongs to which costs seconds that never come back. A hint and a shuffle stand by for stalls. The hint highlights one legal link and the shuffle rearranges whatever is left when nothing connects, and both pay off better late than early. The soundtrack is light and unobtrusive, and leaving it running makes the rhythm easier to hold.

The stage measures 800 by 600, and full screen is the sensible setting for it, since long connecting lines are easier to trace across a large grid and mis-taps drop away. Touch is supported, so the same starfield board can be worked through on a phone or a tablet. Another board from the same undemanding group is the Happy Easter Links grid.

1. Find two tiles showing the same cartoon animal.
2. Trace the route between them in your head: the connecting line may use no more than three segments, or two right-angle turns.
3. Make sure no remaining tile stands anywhere in that path.
4. Click the first animal and then its twin to clear both from the grid.
5. Keep the score climbing until the timer runs out, and empty the grid to finish the level.

• Work the outer ranks — a pair on the rim needs a short, simple line, while the same pair in the centre often needs a turn too many.
• Learn the animals fast — several cartoon faces share a colour, and a misread costs a click and the seconds around it.
• Count the turns before clicking — three segments is the ceiling, and a route that needs a third bend is not a legal link.
• Save the shuffle for a dead grid — rearranging while legal links remain throws away position and time together.
• Play the starfield in full screen — an 800 by 600 board enlarged makes long connections far easier to follow.
