Grand Mahjong Connect

Despite the name, this is not a two-tile game. In Grand Mahjong Connect you select pieces from the board and clear them three at a time, so every face on screen has to be found in triplicate before it goes anywhere. The beginner rules page goes through it slowly for a first-time player.

That single change reworks the arithmetic of a tile board. A pair spotted in a corner is worth nothing on its own until the third copy surfaces, and space is limited, so carrying pieces you cannot complete is precisely how a level runs out of room. 1. Scan the board for faces that appear at least three times over.
2. Select the first two copies, then hunt down the third to clear the set.
3. Watch the space you have left before picking up a piece you cannot finish.
4. Clear the board to move on to the next level.

• Think in threes — a face with only two visible copies is a trap until the third is uncovered.
• Protect the space — the limit on room, not the tile count, is what actually ends a Grand Mahjong Connect level.
• Finish sets before starting new ones — two half-built triples are twice the liability of one.
• Uncover before you commit — clearing a full set from the surface often reveals the copy you needed for another.
