Classic Mahjong
Randomly dealt boards that are guaranteed solvable, laid out on the Turtle, Fort, Crab and other named fields.

GamePush builds this Classic Mahjong around a generator rather than a fixed set of hand-drawn boards. The chips are dealt at random each session, and the algorithm behind them guarantees that the arrangement in front of you can actually be solved. The explanation of dead boards answers the questions this board raises.
That changes how a replay feels. The named fields keep their silhouette from one attempt to the next, and there are plenty of them: Turtle, Fort, Crab, Spider, Cat, Dragon and others besides. What lands inside those shapes is different every time, so a route memorised yesterday buys you nothing today. The Among Tiles board piles the tiles into a different silhouette.
There is no time limit, which the studio states outright, so a jam is a puzzle rather than a countdown. That suits the shapes with deep centres, like the Fort, where the sensible opening is to strip the free chips along the outer rim until the buried layers surface. The playfield is 800 by 600 and works from a mouse or a fingertip. For one more pile of the same kind, see Madcap.

How to Play
- Pick one of the named fields, from the shallow Turtle to the tighter Fort.
- Take two chips showing the same face to remove them from the deal.
- Strip the rim before the centre, so buried chips have somewhere to surface.
- Keep going until the field is empty, at whatever pace you like.
Tips & Tricks
- Trust the deal — GamePush guarantees a solution exists, so a dead-looking board is a reading error rather than a broken one.
- Do not memorise — the same Spider or Cat field is dealt differently on every attempt.
- Spend the clock — with no time limit imposed, scanning the whole field twice costs nothing but patience.
- Match across the shape — pairing two chips from opposite ends of the Dragon opens more of it than pairing two neighbours.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can a board in Classic Mahjong turn out to be unsolvable?
No. GamePush generates each random layout with an algorithm that guarantees a solution exists.
Which fields does Classic Mahjong include?
Turtle, Fort, Crab, Spider, Cat, Dragon and a number of others.
Is Classic Mahjong played against a timer?
No. The studio states there is no time limit, so the field can be worked through at whatever pace suits.
Does Classic Mahjong deal the same field twice?
Not in the same arrangement. The chips are laid out at random each time, so a familiar shape plays differently on every run.
