Time Mahjong

Time Mahjong is a solitaire board whose subject is the clock. Every tile carries a timepiece — dials, digital faces, hands set at different hours — and above them a timer counts down from the moment the layout appears. Matching two free tiles removes them in the usual way; the twist is that the countdown is part of the puzzle rather than a limit imposed on it. The same heading covers Mahjong Dimensions as well.

Certain tiles act on that countdown directly. Some slow it, some freeze it outright, and some add seconds back to the total, which makes the order of your matches a resource decision. Clearing an easy pair while a freeze tile sits exposed and reachable is how a comfortable layout becomes a lost one. Only tiles with an open side move in the Pyramid board too.

A hint and a shuffle cover the moments when no free pair is visible, and both cost the seconds you are trying to protect. The HTML5 build works on phones, tablets and desktop, and full screen is the setting to reach for before the countdown starts — clock faces differ by the position of two hands, and at window size those differences are easy to misread. Freeing the lower rows early matters in the Grand Fruit Connect pile as well.

1. Find two free tiles showing the same clock and select them to clear the pair.
2. Watch for the special faces: they slow the countdown, freeze it, or add seconds to it.
3. Take those tiles while they are reachable rather than saving them for later.
4. Empty the layout before the countdown reaches zero.

• Bank the clock tiles early — a freeze taken at the start of Time Mahjong is worth more than one taken in panic.
• Open the stack from the top, since a buried special tile helps nobody.
• Do not hoard hints — each costs seconds, so call one the moment you cannot see a free pair.
• Shuffle rather than stall — standing still burns the same seconds as a wrong move.
• Compare the hands, not the frames — two clock tiles can share a case and show different hours.
