Emoji Mahjong

Emoji Mahjong replaces the painted suits with the emoji set, which sounds like a gimmick and turns out to change how a board is read. Faces differ by a raised eyebrow or a shifted mouth, so the search is finer than on tiles that differ by whole symbols.

The goal here is to match three identical tiles rather than two, and each has to be free, meaning nothing on top and at least one side open. Removing a triple takes a bigger bite out of an arrangement, which is why layouts that look thin can still hold plenty of work. The far side of the board matters in 3D Mahjong as well.

There is no time limit, so a stuck board is a puzzle rather than a loss, and the difficulty comes from the arrangements themselves: OneTwoPlay IT varies the shapes and the stacking from level to level. 1. Identify three identical emoji tiles that are free, meaning uncovered and open on at least one side.
2. Select all three to clear them from the board and expose what lay beneath.
3. Rotate the arrangement on the three-dimensional layouts to check the faces you cannot see from the front.
4. Shuffle if the visible triples run out, and spend hints only when a level genuinely stops.

• Count copies before you commit — Emoji Mahjong needs three of a kind, so a visible pair helps only if a third is reachable.
• Sort by expression, not colour — most of the yellow faces differ only in the eyes and the mouth.
• Take height off first — the tallest stacks lock the most tiles in these arrangements.
• Take your time on a hard layout — with no clock running, reading the board twice costs nothing.
• Play in full screen — small emoji tiles are the main reason a legal triple gets missed.
