Butterfly Connect

Butterfly Connect swaps tile suits for wings. Each piece on the grid carries one half of a butterfly, and joining two identical wings completes that species and takes both pieces off the board. The Solitaire section lists every board filed under this heading.

The framing is a walk into the forest: levels are grouped around the species you are assembling, and the brief is to finish them as quickly as possible, so a run rewards spotting wings on sight rather than reading the grid row by row. Azerion Casual Games pitches it at both ends of a session, from a short puzzle break to a longer journey through the species list. The corridor habit carries straight over to the Easter Connection grid.

Because this is a connect-2 board and not a stacked one, everything is in view from the first second. The pressure comes from how many wing patterns share the screen at once, not from pieces buried under other pieces. The playfield measures 800 by 600 and takes a mouse or a fingertip equally well. The Connect The Roads board replaces the tile art and leaves the path rule alone.

1. Look over the open grid for two wings with the same pattern.
2. Select one wing, then its twin, to join them and complete that butterfly.
3. Clear every species in the level to move deeper into the forest.
4. Keep the pace up, since each level is scored on how quickly you finish it.

• Sort by colour first — wing patterns cluster into a few colour families, and narrowing to one family before hunting saves seconds per pair.
• Clear the crowded band — where several species overlap, routes are shortest at the start of a level.
• Learn a species — once you know what a butterfly's two wings look like together, you stop double-checking every near-match.
• Do not stall — Butterfly Connect ranks a level on finishing time, so a slow perfect route beats nothing.
