Animal icons that slide across the grid: bring two together to score and shatter the crates packed around them.
Paw Mahjong is not a link-the-pair board at all, because the animal icons move. Select a tile carrying an animal, click a second tile, and the animal travels there.
Points arrive when two of the same animal end up touching. The pair scores, and the crates beside it are destroyed in the process, so the interesting question on every level is not which animals match but where to park them so that the meeting also breaks the crates you still need gone. Many levels hand you special tiles that change how an animal travels, one sending it along a straight line and another moving it round a circle, and those are usually the levels where a direct approach leaves crates standing in a corner. How to Play
- Look over the level and note which crates have to go.
- Click an animal tile to pick it up, then click the square you want it moved to.
- Bring two of the same animal into contact to score and blow the neighbouring crates apart.
- Use the special tiles that send an animal in a straight line or around a circle to reach awkward corners.
- Finish the level, then take on the next one.
Tips & Tricks
- Aim at crates, not at pairs — in Paw Mahjong the match itself is easy, and the level is decided by which crates the meeting happens to touch.
- Save the circle tiles — a circular move reaches squares a straight push cannot, so it is wasted on an open board.
- Move one animal, not both — bringing a single animal to a settled partner keeps the second one where its crates are.
- Watch the corners — a crate tucked into a corner is the usual reason a level ends one crate short.
- Open it full screen — at 1280 by 720 the crate edges and the animal faces are both easier to judge enlarged.
