Happy Fruit Link

Happy Fruit Link is Lof Games taking the fruit variant of the link board at face value, and the rule it runs on is narrow enough to state in a sentence: two tiles showing the same fruit come off together if you can draw a line between them that turns no more than twice. The full Connect list carries the other boards of this kind.

Everything the puzzle asks of you follows from that limit. A pear boxed in on all four sides is unreachable however obvious its twin is, and the order you take pairs in decides whether the tail end of a level is solvable or stuck. A level is finished only when the last tile is gone, so nothing can be written off along the way. Reading the edges first works in Animal Connect too.

The board is drawn wide at 1280 by 720 with bright, flat fruit art that reads clearly at small sizes, and it takes taps as readily as mouse clicks. Jewel Link replaces the tile art and leaves the path rule alone.

1. Scan the grid for two tiles carrying the same fruit.
2. Check the route between them: the line may turn twice, no more, and may not cut through another tile.
3. Select both tiles to remove the pair.
4. Repeat until the grid is empty, then move on to the next level.

• Open the edges first — fruit on the rim of a Happy Fruit Link grid has routes on three sides, and clearing it frees the crowded middle.
• Count corners, not distance — two tiles on opposite sides of the board can still pair if the path between them bends only twice.
• Keep triples together — when three of one fruit are on screen, take the pair that leaves the third somewhere reachable.
• Sweep in rows — the wide 1280 by 720 layout rewards reading the grid line by line rather than jumping around it.
