Valentines Mahjong Deluxe dresses the stack for the fourteenth of February — hearts, boxed chocolates, roses and love letters on the tile faces — and runs it as a sequence of levels that grow denser as you clear them. Lof Games released it in 2020.
The blocking rule is stated plainly: a tile is playable when nothing sits on top of it and nothing presses against it on the left or the right. A chocolate box wedged between two neighbours has to wait for one of them to be matched away, which turns an easy-looking arrangement into a sequencing problem. Next to it in the same group is Snack Mahjong.
Time is part of the scoring, so the levels are played against a clock rather than at leisure, and a hint is available when the hearts stop pairing. Later levels add tiles instead of adding rules. The Best New section gathers the boards that share this heading.
Full screen is worth the click before the timer starts, since several of the red tiles differ only in the ribbon or the shade of the box. The build runs on desktop monitors and mobile screens.
