Mahjong Remix

Arkadium keeps the tile faces of the classic in Mahjong Remix and swaps the rule that governs them. Instead of lifting a free tile off a stack, you join two identical tiles with a path — and that path may bend no more than twice and may not cross any tile still on the board. The onet explainer goes through it slowly for a first-time player.

The structure is a sprint: five rounds inside a single seven-minute budget. A round that drags eats the time the next one needs, so Mahjong Remix rewards players who take the connection they can see rather than hunting for the tidiest one. The Chain Bonus pushes the same way, paying extra for matches made in quick succession. The same two-bend path rule drives the Pixel Cat grid.

Reading a board here means reading corridors, not layers. A pair sitting far apart is often legal because the lane between them is empty, while two identical tiles side by side can be blocked by a third in the way. The 2024 build runs at 640 by 480 for mouse or touch, and full screen is the difference between tracing those lanes comfortably and squinting at them. The Best Classic Connect board keeps the path rule and changes the pictures.

1. Find two Mahjong Remix tiles carrying the same face anywhere on the board.
2. Trace the lane between them: the Remix path may turn at most twice.
3. Check that no remaining tile blocks that lane, then click both to clear them.
4. Chain matches quickly to collect the Chain Bonus.
5. Finish all five rounds inside the seven-minute budget.
