Fruits Connect Float

Fruits Connect Float takes the standard link rule — two identical fruit joined by a path with no more than two right-angle turns — and then refuses to leave the board still. The comparison of the two boards goes through it slowly for a first-time player.

On many of its 27 levels the tiles float once a pair is taken: the survivors slide to the bottom, to the top, to the left, to the right, into the centre, or the grid splits apart into two halves. The layout you memorised a moment ago is not the layout in front of you now, and that is the whole difficulty of this one. The same scanning across an open grid is what Connect Halloween asks for.

There is a clock as well. Finishing a level inside its time bound pays an extra bonus, so hesitation is punished twice over: once by the drift and once by the timer. 1. Find two identical fruit tiles that a path with no more than two right-angle turns can join.
2. Click one, then the other, and the pair leaves the grid.
3. Watch where the remaining fruit settles, because the drift direction differs from level to level.
4. Clear the level before its time bound expires to collect the bonus.

• Identify the drift first — take one easy pair early in a level of Fruits Connect Float and watch which way the board falls before committing to a plan.
• Split levels strand fruit — when the grid divides into two halves, a fruit alone on one side has nothing left it can reach.
• Clear low when tiles float upward — removing fruit from the bottom row pulls the stack down toward you and opens fresh routes.
• Chase the bonus early — the first of the 27 levels are the cheapest place to bank time bonuses while the drift is still simple.
