Every piece here is a manufacturer’s badge, with roundels, stars, ovals and shields from modern car brands filling the grid. Car Logo Mahjong Connection asks for pairs joined by a path with no more than two ninety-degree angles, which is the standard linking rule, but the set on top of it is not standard at all. The badges are where the difficulty actually lives. Several marques use a circular outline with a small device inside, and at tile size the difference between two of them comes down to a few pixels. • Clear the perimeter — routes that step outside the grid cost fewer angles than routes threading through it.
• Take same-row pairs immediately — they need no angles and are never at risk of being blocked.
• Break the centre block — a solid group in the middle is what strands badges behind it.
• Play in full screen — the logo artwork is small and detailed, and window size is where the set blurs together.
