Fruits Mahjong
A forest connect board with the strictest rule in the genre: matching fruit clears only along a straight, unobstructed line.

Fruits Mahjong runs on the strictest connect rule in the genre. Two identical fruit blocks clear only when a straight horizontal or vertical line joins them with nothing standing in the way — no corners, no detours, and a single block sitting on that line makes the pair illegal for now.
The board therefore becomes a matter of rows and columns rather than routes. Every removal opens a lane, and the lane is usually worth more than the pair that opened it, which is why clearing from the outside inwards keeps producing matches while digging into the centre tends to strand fruit on both flanks. The same two-bend path rule drives Shisen Sho.
Nothing hurries you along. The forest setting is quiet, no countdown runs against the layout, and a shuffle is there for the moment the surviving fruit has no straight line left between any two of its blocks. Levels follow one after another as boards come apart. For the rule in plain words, see the connect-tips guide.
The interface is deliberately plain, which is why full screen helps more than it appears to: with the board enlarged you can read a whole column at once and see immediately whether a lane runs clear from one fruit to its twin. Phones and tablets are supported alongside the desktop. For a second flat pair-up, there is the Onet Fruit Classic board.

Mouse on desktop, or tap one fruit block and then its twin on a touchscreen.
How to Play
- Pick out two blocks carrying the same fruit.
- Check the line between them: it must run straight across or straight down, with no block interrupting it.
- Select the first block and then the second, and the pair clears from the grid.
- Open the outer edges early so the lanes into the middle stay usable.
- Clear every paired block on the board to move through to the next level.
Tips & Tricks
- Think in lanes — a straight-line rule means the row and the column matter more than the distance between two fruit.
- Peel the outside — outer blocks free whole lanes, while a removal in the centre usually blocks as much as it opens.
- Check for a blocker — one piece anywhere on the line is enough to refuse an otherwise perfect pair.
- Shuffle only when locked — with no clock running, there is no reason to redeal a board that still has a lane open.
- Play it in full screen — a whole column readable at once is the difference between spotting a lane and hunting for it.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do you match blocks in Fruits Mahjong?
With a straight line only. Two identical fruit clear when a horizontal or vertical path joins them and no other block sits on it.
Does Fruits Mahjong allow lines with corners?
No. Unlike most connect boards, the path may not bend, which is what makes an open row or column so valuable.
Is Fruits Mahjong on a timer?
No countdown runs against the layout, so a board can be studied for as long as the lanes need working out.
Can Fruits Mahjong be opened in full screen?
Yes, and it is the setting to use: an enlarged grid lets you check a full column for blockers at a glance.
Does Fruits Mahjong work on a tablet?
It does. The simple interface takes touch input, and the grid stays readable on a tablet screen.
